of Hand Hotties
Simply heat your Hottie for 30 to 45 seconds in a 650/880w microwave on full power. Heating times should not be exceeded.
Periodically heat a cup of water in the microwave to boiling point thereby creating steam and then place the Hottie in with the cup of water and heat for the required time. This enables the Hottie to rehydrate and extend its life.
The Hottie should only be reheated once it has completely cooled down. This is to prevent pyrophoric action (undue temperature increase).
As this is a natural product it may feel damp when heated for the first two or three
times. This dampness will subside and the Hottie may be used for many years. After
use, your Hottie should be left to cool in a safe place on a non-
The Hottie can also be heated in a warm oven (100/150 degrees, gas mark 1 or 2) for up to 5 minutes depending on how warm you want it to be. Just sprinkle a few drops of water on the Hottie and wrap loosely in foil before popping it in the oven.
Alternatively, cool in the refrigerator or freezer for approximately 30 minutes in a plastic bag. It may then be used as a cold compress for relief from sports injuries, bumps, swellings etc.
May be used externally, hot or cold, on other areas of the body to assist with pain relief.
